By train (SNCF)

There are direct high speed trains (TGV) that link Grenoble to Paris, Lyon St Exupéry airport, and other main french cities.

By plane

>International Lyon-St Exupéry Airport (code LYS): 100 km far from Grenoble.
To reach Grenoble, the most convenient way is to take the regular shuttle service "Navette OuiBus" that brings travelers from the airport to Grenoble's Train Station in 1h05 from 9,90€. It runs every hour or 30 minutes. You can buy your ticket on the website or buy it at the airport counter at openings hours.

There are quite a few SNCF trains between the airport and Grenoble. It is not a recommended option.

>Geneva Airport (code GVA): 150 km far from Grenoble.
To reach Grenoble, there is a regular shuttle service that brings travelers from the airport to Grenoble's Train Station in 2h15 (45€). It runs every 2h30. You can book up to 15 minutes before coach departure.

Then, from Grenoble train/bus station to ISTerre, refer to the above explanations.

By car

If you are coming from Lyon (motorway A48) or from Gap/Sisteron (N175/N185), follow Chambéry, Rocade Sud.

If you are coming from Chambéry (motorway A41), follow Lyon, Valence, Rocade Sud.

On the "Rocade Sud", take the first exit "Domaine universitaire, Gières-Mayencin" and you will reach the Campus of St Martin d'Heres/Gières. This exit is marked as number 3 on the Campus Map. When you reach the first roundabout, keep on going in the same direction (avenue de vignate). When you reach the second roundabout, turn right (rue de la piscine). Turn right again at the next roundabout (rue de la papeterie). Take the next road on your left (rue de la piscine). ISTerre amphitheatre is the orange new building on the right-hand side. You will find the parking behind the institute.
